SPCC’s artist studio is dedicated solely to the purposes of the art program, and our Studio Art Coordinator Rachel works with all of the classrooms in our school — including infants! — exposing the children to a multiplicity of art mediums and forms. Rachel also maintains a constant dialogue with classroom teachers in order to engage students in relevant explorations connected to their interests.

Having a studio arts teacher helps our school to realize our vision of engaging in meaningful art explorations as a means to fostering an enriching, supportive environment, which nurtures a child’s natural curiosity of the world. View the art studio in action below.
